New - ELMA-LAVAR - mobile - For combatting Legionella - for extreme cases

Do you have a very serious legionella problem? Has the first attempt using the recommendations of the assessor failed?

We have a mobile solution that washes your pipes clean.

ELMA-LAVAR - Mobile

What does it require?

- One simple technical “surgery” to your incoming pipework. If the cold and hot water pipework needs treatment, as soon as possible after the water meter – if hot water only – after the boiler. We ask your plumber to installed three valves and two t-pieces. We attach our ELMA-LAVAR unit there on wheels and take it away after the job is done.

- The rest is not a permanent installation

- Our base unit gets attached to these new connections in your technical room. During the duration of the process (usually one day or more) we also connect small remote units to the bathrooms or similar locations of the apartments in the complex.

- We then “wash” the system using our patented process, and provide a further knockout-blow to legionella using approved drinking water disinfection chemicals, as used by your local water treatment plant.

- Your tenants can continue to use water during the process.

- Once the treatment is complete, we disconnect and remove our system. We do our own self-check test to see if it was effective. The assessor can return, registered tests made and you pass.

- We give you the option to purchase a permanent system after a successful pass with the health department.

Extreme cases: we can combine the ELMA-LAVAR technique with our ELMAK-KANNONE air/water cleaner to mobilize more deposits in the pipelines.

End the endless test/fail, retest cycle, and fix your legionella woes for good.

Change of Technology - Hygiene Protection - Drinking water networks

Current state of the technology Current state of the art: Water quality issues resulting from stagnation have existed ever since buildings began receiving municipal drinking water. Detailed information on this topic is widely available (online, in technical literature, and in the media). However, the nature and extent of the resulting costs are rarely reported. One thing is certain, however: The total costs for regulatory and technical monitoring, as well as all other expenses, are determined according to the “general cost recovery principle” and passed on to users by the respective service provider or facility operator. It is striking that very high, and in some cases barely justifiable, “preventive costs” are often incurred to ensure that certified drinking water maintains its legally required quality in a system known to be critical (stagnant). The problem is that stagnation ① represents an inherent condition of the system in this context, and the strict requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance must be complied with at all times and without restriction. However, these framework conditions should not be viewed merely as a limitation; rather—thanks to the laws of physics—they simultaneously open up unique opportunities in the practical handling of tap water.
The Solution: change the flow principle from stagnation to movement, and thereby open a new field of technology without the old problems, with new options and all for a fraction of the old, unlimited costs.

Introducting a new Hygiene Technology

ELMA-LAVAR Multiflow is the universal and retro-fittable flow technolgy for securing hygiene in domesitc drinking water systems.
It prevents stagnation, ensures water circulation, and sustainably maintains hygiene and clear water. It is based on the Drinking Water Ordinance (TrinkwV) and relevant standards such as DVGW, DIN, and VDI; findings from physics, chemistry, and microbiology are continuously incorporated. The goal is to provide the operator with a sound understanding of water quality, heat transfer, chemical processes, flow behavior, and microbial control. Features: Time-controlled pendulum pump system with terminal, self-regulating CrNi-ELMAK ExV storage tanks ④.

Where it can be used:

  • Apartment blocks, barracks
  • Office blocks
  • Data centers, HVAC systems
  • Photovoltaic cooling systems
  • Shopping centres, clinics, hotels, industrial buildings, active proteciton of uninhabited buildings
  • Heating circuits, district heating

Application options:

  • pressurized pulsed wash, internal, between automatic ExV expansion vessels.
    Linear flow, scrubbing
  • Suspension filter Ca/Mg for acid control, super clear filtraiton.
  • Microfiltation, plankton and bacterial removal
  • Disinfeciton - all methods

Special applications

  • Emergency water supply, reserve
  • Reverse osmosis - Ultrafiltration for prefiltration of PFAS
  • Cooling of drinking water
  • Fire protection reserves
  • Fast disinfection - all methods
  • Clean epoxy coating damage
