While conventional systems perform blowdown mostly using electrical conductivity (EC), the ELMAK<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Watermaster is based on an intelligent regulation of the water-chemistry relevant compounds.<\/em><\/p><p><em>The basis of this process is the chemical equilibrium of the circulating water. Based on a recent water test from the water supplier, the allowed amounts per 100% mixed-water per cycle are calculated.  From there we get the so called concentration factor (CF) (GER -EZ).  At the same time using the CF the % amounts for evaporation and blowdown are determined.  The total is always the cycle amount that remains after evaporation and is removed by blowdown.  This is discharged before the start of the next cycle. This maintains the salt balance per cycle.  The blowdown water can be used for other purposes and reduces the overall water bill.<br \/><\/em><\/p><p><strong><em>The paradigm shift here is the cycle based<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>substance-mass equilibrium.<\/em><\/strong><em> :<br \/><\/em><em>Evey cycle is sequentially and measured exactly to the liter.  Unplanned blowdowns are avoided by the system completely. <strong>Watermaster<\/strong> is an autonomously operating water controller, that saves resources, reduces operating costs and improves the production security.<\/em><\/p><p><em>ELMAK<\/em><strong><em><sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/em><\/strong> <em>Watermaster is conceived for a secure and legally conform operation of cooling towers under consideration of all regulatory requirements.<\/em><\/p><p><em>By means of this patented regulatory method, water, chemicals and energy use are clearly reduced.  Simultaneously risks for scaling, biofoulding and unplanned standstills are reduced.
