Purge Central Heating

that is what people do. But is that right?

The "rule" is for example:

    Note down the pressure
let the air out up top
fill water from below until the pressure is ok.
Is it ok?

No nothing is ok!
Why?

Why?

.. because for the regulated operation (of the central heating system) the setup pressure equilibirum is broken. The system will become an air pump and water fountain as the air buffer shrinks and the water takes up more volume. This leads to the well known problems in heating circuits. These are the results of working against the laws of thermodynamics.

Before you decide to buy a new water warmer, we recommend you:

    - get independent advice
    - to stabilize the operation of the water system
    - to think that up to 30% of the operational costs can be reduced by improved efficiency.
